Data Analysis and Integration (AID)
Virtual Machine (AID_2025)
This virtual machine was created using Oracle VM VirtualBox 7.1.
The guest operating system is Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Using VirtualBox, it is possible to run this guest on Windows, Linux, and macOS (Intel).
To use the virtual machine:
- Download and install Oracle VM VirtualBox.
- Choose the appropriate package for your OS.
- Only the platform package is required (the Extension Pack and the SDK are not needed).
- Download the following files to some folder on your computer. Right-click and select Save link as:
- Open VirtualBox in your computer.
- In the Machine menu, choose Add.
- Browse to the folder where you have the virtual machine and select the AID_2025.vbox file.
- The virtual machine is configured to use 8 GB of memory.
- This assumes that you have at least 16 GB of RAM in your computer.
- If this is not the case, press the Settings button and, in the System tab, change the Base Memory.
- (A minimum of 4 GB is required.)
- The virtual machine is configured to use 4 CPUs.
- This assumes that you have at least 8 CPU cores in your computer.
- If this is not the case, press the Settings button and, in the System tab, change the number of Processors.
- (A minimum of 2 CPUs is recommended.)
- Press the Start button to run the virtual machine.
The virtual machine contains the following software specifically for AID:
- MySQL Server & Workbench
- Pentaho Data Integration (PDI)
- DataCleaner
- Pentaho Schema Workbench (PSW)
- Pentaho Server & Saiku Analytics
- Pentaho Report Designer (PRD)
