A visit by the head of government of Macau and the University of Macau to Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico took place today and it included the signing of protocols with the University of Macau and LARSyS.<\/p>\n
The agreement expressed that the University of Macau, the Laoshan Laboratory, and LARSyS wish to explore possibilities for educational and research cooperation in the field of oceans<\/p>\n
Some of the main objectives of this collaboration are:<\/p>\n
To jointly foster the development of the Ocean Research Alliance between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, and to actively promote the establishment of the Joint Ocean Research Center between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries;
\nTo promote academic collaboration and joint ocean research;
\nCollaborate to promote student mobility, such as through internships, study abroad, and student exchanges;
\nTo promote the exchange of staff for research, lectures, and debates, as well as to submit joint applications for financial support from interested funding agencies for collaborative projects;
