here<\/a>. Here’s the LARSyS Coordinator’s words to the community:<\/p>\nDear LARSyS Community,<\/em>
\nLARSyS is an Associated Laboratory that brings together more than 400 researchers, including over 200 doctoral <\/em>students, from four R&D centres: ISR-Lisboa, IN+, ITI, and MARETEC. LARSyS uniquely combines expertise across <\/em>engineering, technology and systems, while collaborating with designers and social scientists at the <\/em>intersections of arts and humanities. Our mission also includes promoting a vibrant scientific culture among <\/em>researchers, students, and all those interested in exploring and shaping the future of Robotics and Engineering <\/em>Systems.<\/em>
\nIt is time once again for the LARSyS Annual Meeting. In this vibrant event, we can learn more about the ongoing <\/em>research in our community, identify common points of interest with other researchers and students and engage <\/em>in interdisciplinary debates concerning current and future research challenges across various sectors.<\/em>
\nAs in previous editions, LARSyS 2025 will be anchored by three main pillars: a rich and diverse set of research <\/em>pitches from our students and researchers; an overview of the work carried out within our Thematic Lines <\/em>(OCEANS, URBAN, AIR, LIFE, and INTERACTION); and the participation of external stakeholders, from academia <\/em>and industry, who will not only inspire our thoughts but highlight opportunities for research and collaboration.<\/em>
\nAnd of course, the event is also an opportunity to socialise, have fun and get to know more people in the <\/em>LARSyS community.<\/em>
\nThis year, we celebrate the result of the FCT Scientific Evaluation, which recognised LARSyS again as an <\/em>EXCELLENT institution, a status we have consistently achieved since our foundation. This recognition reflects the <\/em>outstanding work of our entire community: research units, group leaders, thematic line coordinators, <\/em>researchers, students and staff. We also made progress in the LARSyS tenure-track careers, leveraged by the<\/em>
\nFCT-Tenure Program, part of LARSyS\u2019 commitment towards the promotion of scientific employment.<\/em>
\nThe LARSyS Annual Meeting is a unique moment to share and spark new, inspiring ideas and to launch and <\/em>consolidate interdisciplinary bridges to address today\u2019s societal challenges. A significant part of the LARSyS <\/em>vision and ambition stems from the rich cross-disciplinary exchange between our researchers and external <\/em>partners.<\/em>
\nWe thank all LARSyS community members for their effort, creativity, and progress over the last year. The Annual <\/em>Meeting offers just a glimpse of your collective achievements. We hope you will find the program exciting and <\/em>make the best use of this opportunity to interact with the LARSyS community members.
