Best poster awards
PYFF6 SPM Young Researcher Award, offered by the Portuguese
Society of Microbiology (SPM), with a value of 200 euros, will be awarded to 3 best
poster contributions to PYFF6. The selection of the best
posters will be conducted by the PYFF6 Scientific Committee.
The selected awardees will be announced in the closing
session, on Thursday, the 14th.
Deadline for submission of grants applications: March 1, 2016
Young Scientist Meeting Grants, sponsored by FEMS, with a
value of up to 400 euros (depending on travel distance), are
available for applicants who provide evidence of being:
- A member of a FEMS Member Society, confirmed by any
officer of her/his society,
- A PhD student or a young post-doc, having obtained
the PhD degree in the last 5 years,
- Less than 36 years of age at the closing date of
the meeting,
- An active microbiologist,
- The first and presenting author of the submitted
abstract,
- A registered and paid congress participant after
information on grant approval.
Meeting grants, offered by EFB Microbial Physiology section,
with a value of up to 250 euros (depending on travel
distance), are also available for applicants who provide
evidence of being:
- A PhD student or a young post-doc, having obtained
the PhD degree in the last 5 years,
- Less than 36 years of age at the closing date of
the meeting,
- An active researcher in Microbial Physiology,
- The first and presenting author of the submitted
abstract,
- A registered and paid congress participant after
information on grant approval.
Applicants to one of these grants should send a letter of motivation, a copy of their abstract submission and a short (1 page maximum) CV,
before
March 1, 2016 to the PYFF6 Secretariat (grant applicants will be notified on their application before
April 1, 2016). In the case of applications to FEMS Young
Scientist Meeting Grants, a
submission form should additionally be filled and sent
together with the remaining requested elements.
